7-day "Creative in nature" holiday, for families, couples and groups

Day 1:   Arrival in your holiday house in Gradenc. You will be welcomed by hostess Arlette, who speaks English, German and Dutch. She will show you around and answer all your questions.

Enjoy the beautiful green surroundings and go for a walk around the village.

Day 2:   We  start  the day with a joined, traditional Slovene breakfast on a spacious terrace in the village, with wonderful view.

After breakfast, you will enjoy yourself with casting plaster. You have several molds at your disposal.

While the plaster dries, we will go for a relaxing walk around the village.

Afterward, you can paint your creations.

The afternoon is free for you to go and discover the surroundings.

Day 3:   This morning you will learn to bake the traditional Slovene »Potica«. We will also bake some cookies and/or other goodies.

For lunch, we will have a picknick where we can try our freshly baked pastry and other local, home-made products.

In the afternoon you will participate in a workshop where you will learn to embroid and decorate your own greeting card.

Day 4:   Put on your walking shoes because we will be heading for Žužemberk on foot today. This relaxing walk through the woods takes about one hour.

On the banks of the river Krka you can paint, draw or photograph the beautiful castle and its surroundings.

Lunch will be served on the terrace of restaurant Koren, on the river. Afterward, you can go swimming or rent a canoe (€10,00 per hour, not included)

Day 5:   The morning  is free for you to relax or sleep in.

In the afternoon we will be making our own soap or cream, using only natural products like bee wax, honey, lavender, etc.

Afterward, we will prepare a nice BBQ together for dinner and have a bonfire in the evening.

Day 6:   Today we will be working with wood. There are several possibilities to choose from like engraving, making a birdhouse, applying a picture on wood, making a wine rack or candleholder, etc.

We start with a walk through the wood to gather material like branches. While working, you can enjoy some home-made tea, lemonade and cookies.

Day 7 :  After another joined breakfast in the village, your holiday has come to an end.
